2017 Travel Scoreboard

I finally sat down and counted a few things related to my 2017 travel.

Countries visited in Europe: 24
Cities/Towns visited Europe: 60

I’ve not included Malaysia and Morocco above.

I took many more car, bus & train rides on public transit or Uber/Grab but didn’t count them here. For the inter-city/inter-country modes of travel from 2017.

• Train: 35
• Bus: 34
• Plane: 21
• Car: 11
• Ferry: 6
• Bicycle: 6

That totals 114 inter-city or inter-country trips. That works out to travel every 3.2 days. A few of these are day trips, but few and far between. I’d say an average of 3.5 days.

Also, of note, I crossed 1 border on bicycle, 1 border by public transit and 1 border on foot. Having my passport checked on a public transit bus was a first.
